Restaurants.... I Will Take Away Your Used Fryer Oil:

Hello restaurateurs, I would love to bring one or more of my barrels to your location and take away your used cooking oil.

CURRENTLY I AM ONLY SERVICING THE FOLLOWING AREAS OF THE LOWERMAINLAND: SURREY, LANGLEY, ALDERGROVE, AND ABBOTSFORD.

I use it to make biodiesel for my vehicle and to heat my home. Help support a green cause and keeps the oil locally used and processed. Most of the large grease collection companies who most of you already deal with sell the oil to overseas customers or convert it to biodiesel first and then sell it to foreign markets for huge profits. That leaves you, the tax payer subsidizing it through the tax breaks these company's get from our government and the windfall profits they make.

By allowing local small home based biodiesel makers like myself to collect your oil you are helping people put a lesser carbon foot print on our local environment. You can feel good that you are contributing to cleaner air in the lower mainland and keeping a reusable waste product from being exported for profit.

I will provide locked barrels for your business and collect the oil regularly and keep the area spotless.

If you have any questions or would like to speak further with me please email me, or give me a call (9:00 am - 7:00 pm) if you want to get set up.

Some Of My Rules Are:

- Only non-hydrogenated vegetable based oils such as Canola Oil, Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Corn Oil, Olive Oil, Palm Oil, Peanut Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Safflower Oil, Sesame Oil, Soybean Oil, Sunflower Oil will be accepted.
- NO Fat, Lard, or Large Chunks of Foreign Material in my barrels.
- NO WATER OR CLEANING SOLUTIONS WHATSOEVER IN THE BARRELLS (It messes up my biodiesel production and I will not take a barrel of oil that has any water/cleaners in it)
- Barrels must me locked after each use to prevent oil theft. (Yes oil theft is becoming a problem these days).
- Call me to empty the barrel when it becomes 3/4 full.

Thanks for looking, and thanks for taking the steps to making your business a greener business.

LOOKING TO BUY USED COOKING OIL?:

If you are looking to buy some waste cooking oil here in the lower mainland then please email me to see if I have any excess oil for sale. I do not sell huge quantities, but do sometimes have a few extra barrells laying around. Just email me to find out. You will generally have to provide your own container(s) to put the oil in so please be prepared to bring something. I store my oil in large 1000 Liter totes so I would transfer from that to your containers.

The oil I sell is strained, it is not dewatered (although the oil I get I never have to dewater anyway before processing). It is your responsibility to dewater it and micro filter it before using it. This is raw oil stock. Again FYI it is canola oil.

I charge $0.40 Cents Per Liter For Waste Cooking Oil. The Price is negotiable based upon the volume you want and the availability. Again just email me to find out.
I'm very reasonable provided I have an excess of oil on hand.

You can email me back at wasteoil@movebc.com or call me at 604-505-0674 (9am - 7pm)

ATTENTION:
DO NOT PHONE ME OR EMAIL ME REGARDING THE FOLLOWING:

I know all this sounds less then nice (I am actually very approachable so don't get scared off) but I have had more then my share of phone calls about the aforementioned topics from people trying to get information about something I have spent countless hours learning and refining. EVERY single thing I have learned I found on the internet. All the information about biodiesel production on any sized scale is readily available FOR FREE... GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND!

The fact is that biodiesel is NOT an easy thing to make, it is certainly not something I can explain in a telephone conversation, it is a fairly complicated process that involves a dedication to learn and understand semi advanced chemistry, the safe handling of dangerous chemicals, physics, diesel engineering, electronics, economics, ecology, plumbing, & welding. These all go hand in hand with making biodiesel. If you can not dedicate yourself 110% and don't have a lot of money to get your setup going then I guarantee you will loose interest VERY fast. If it is a challenge you are still up to then GREAT!!! ... Start by reading up on the process at the Collaborative Biodiesel Tutorial Website.

Finally please DO feel free to call or email me if you need 55 gallon drums or barrels or are looking to get rid of some of your used cooking oil. I may or may not be able to take it from you (it all depends on how much oil stock I have on hand at the time of your call). I look forward to talking to you!!

Also remember that THIS WEBSITE is your very BEST friend!
